Marissi Campos Announces Participation in Drawing Room Lisboa 2026

Featuring works by Lina Buso and Lennin Vásquez

Lisbon, Portugal — October 2026 — Marissi Campos is pleased to announce its presentation at the 2026 edition of Drawing Room Lisboa, hosted at the Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes (SNBA). Anchoring the gallery’s ongoing international program and European dialogue, the presentation stages a focused curatorial encounter between Peruvian artists Lina Buso and Lennin Vásquez.

Structured around research, materiality, and the evolving languages of contemporary drawing, the stand introduces two singular investigations emerging from the Peruvian scene. The selection examines tensions between historical memory, personal mythology, and visual culture, articulating contemporary Latin American practices within an international institutional setting.

Lina Buso (Lima, 1982; lives and works in Santiago de Chile) develops a practice grounded in the analytical examination of visual culture, surface, and formal discipline. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts with a concentration in Painting, along with postgraduate studies in Art Theory from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an MA in Visual Arts from Universidad de Chile, Buso articulates a rigorous circulation between Lima and Santiago. Her work interrogates the construction of image, surface tension, and memory, positioning drawing not merely as a preparatory study, but as an autonomous field of inquiry.

Lennin Vásquez (Peru), trained at the Escuela Nacional Superior Autónoma de Bellas Artes del Perú, constructs an expansive visual universe situated between drawing, painting, the human figure, animal representations, and symbolic mythologies. Vásquez explores ancestral memory and contemporary tensions through precise graphic draftsmanship and layered compositions, establishing connections between local identity, psychological landscapes, and universal archetypes.

Drawing Room Lisboa represents a strategic European node for Marissi Campos, bridging its permanent exhibition program in Lima, its art consultancy operations in Lisbon, and its regional residency platform in Santiago de Chile.
